Registration Information

Please take note of the following important information prior to registering your child.

Registration fees for 2010 are:

T-ball - $100
Farm Ball - $120
Minors & Majors - $140
Juniors - $160
Seniors - $165
Bigs - $165

These fees includes a Sport Council Field User Levy, a Little League District 5 Levy, and Highlands Little League Fees.

Financial assistance may be available for those who need it through Sport BC at www.sport.bc.ca/programs/kidSportBC/applyForFunds.asp

Late Fees: A late registration fee of $20 will be charged to players who register after the applicable deadline for their division - regular fee deadlines are January 31st for Farm, Minors, Majors and Juniors and February 28th for all other Divisions.

Refunds: An administration fee of $20 will be deducted from refunds requested before the start of the season (beginning of April 2009). No refunds are issued once the season has begun.

Boundary:  Please ensure that you check that you are residing within the Highlands Little League boundary.  A map is available on the website in the Documents/Forms section under General Club forms.  If you have any questions, please contact registrar@highlandsbaseball.com.

Player Evaluations: Players registering for Minors and Majors will be contacted by email in early February with dates and times for player evaluations.

Team Formation: For T-ball teams, we will attempt to place friends together (usually school-based teams). For Farm teams, we will attempt to place a player with a friend, if asked, but there are no guarantees. Teams at the Minors and Majors level are selected on the basis of player evaluations and are not based on schools or friend requests.

Volunteers:  We ask that you consider volunteering for one of the positions listed in the drop-down menu on the registration form.  If you have any questions about what the particular volunteer position involves, please don't hesitate to contact president@highlandsbaseball.com

Season: Regular season will run from the beginning of April to late June.

All-Star Teams:  Selection to the 9 year olds, 9/10 year olds and Majors (11/12 year olds) All-star teams will be conducted in late May and early June.  The District Playoffs are usually held in late June/early July with the winner participating in the BC Provincial Championships at the end of July.  The Canadian Championship is held shortly thereafter, with the winner going to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series.  The 9 year old All-star team plays a 4 day tournament at the end of June/early July.  Parents of players interested in trying out for these select teams are encouraged to consider their summer vacation plans in conjunction with the time commitment required.
