(1) Ref # 4380 Posted "6/13/2010 Past Highlands Players--where are they now? Congrats to Rowan Wick & Ivan Hartle! Did you know that Highlands Little League has a past player that has been drafted into the Major Leagues by the Milwaukee Brewers?  Rowan Wick was drafted in the 19th round last week and becomes the first HLL player to be drafted.  Rowan will be spending the summer with the Canadian team playing at various tournaments in preparation for the World Junior Baseball Championships occurring in Thunder Bay, Ontario from July 23rd to August 1st.  Highlands congratulates Rowan on his baseball draft and on representing Canada this summer. http://www.nsnews.com/sports/Milwaukee+picks+Wick/3157668/story.html Did you know that you can go to school and play baseball too?  Fortunately, Iowa Western Community College sophomore, Ivan Hartle, knew that he could do both and last week earned the Junior College World Series MVP Award.  Ivan began his baseball career at Highlands and has also played on the Canadian Junior National Team.  Click on the link below for a complete article on Ivan's accomplishments.  Well done, Ivan! http://www.gjsentinel.com/sports/articles/iowa_westerns_hartle_selected
