Girls Baseball at Highlands

Highlands believes in developing female baseball players, and that girls should be given opportunities to play and grow together.

"If you dream and you allow yourself to dream you can do anything.."

Stronger Together

Combining girls together has shown to increase confidence and keep girls playing the game longer. The longer they play, the more skilled they become. As the older players become role models, they pave the way for more girls baseball players starting out.

Highlands Storm AA Team

In 2025, we created an all-girls team of 7-10 year olds that competed against the boys in the AA division. The result was a great experience that saw girls playing in positions that often go to boys on co-ed teams, and allowed the Storm players to spread their wings and come together to compete. Many exciting close games were played, including and exicting walk-off win, and the Storm were extremely competitive when playing games against other all-girls teams around the lower mainland. This included going undefeated at the BC Girls Baseball Amanda Asay Jamboree in June! We are looking forward to keeping this team going and the program growing season after season.

District 5 Lionesses

The District 5 Lionesses is a collaboration of the four Little Leagues on the North Shore (Highlands LL, West Vancouver LL, Mt Seymour LL, and Lynn Valley LL) and is hosted by West Vancouver Little League. Led by female coach Tiffany Munro, the Lionesses have been running development clinics since 2022. Since then, the Lionesses have attended tournaments, and even hosted a girls jamboree. A highlight included winning the gold medal in the first BC Girls Baseball summer season in 2025.

Lets Keep the Momentum Going!

Our goal is to increase the number of girls playing baseball, retaining them through girls-only initiatives, and cooperating with other organizations making efforts to offer girls baseball programming.
