Highlands - Since 1959
Highlands LL has been growing year upon year and now has one of the largest memberships on Vancouver’s North Shore. The success shows as Sunday’s at Delbrook are community events in themselves, with kids of all ages, friends and siblings, parents and grandparents all taking in the excitement and spirit that the game of baseball brings.
At Highlands, we take great pride in our ability to balance fun and friendships with skill building and the competitive spirit. One of the advantages of Little League is that the regular season allows kids to learn and progress in a fun and friendly environment. Then, for those kids looking for a higher quality and more competitive experience, Post-Season teams are assembled to compete in tournaments throughout the Lower Mainland.
Our vision at Highlands Little League Baseball is clear and simple: to provide children with a safe, fun, and positive oriented baseball program that demonstrates the ideals of good sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, competition, courage and respect.
Highlands is a non-profit organization to help and voluntarily assist young boys and girls in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being through the medium of baseball with guidance and exemplary leadership. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, our Little League program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
Little League Baseball Pledge
I trust in God; I love my country and will respect its laws; I will play fair and strive to win but win or lose; I will always do my best.
Parent and Volunteer Pledge
The Little League Parent and Volunteer Pledge
I will teach all children to play fair and do their best;
I will positively support all managers; coaches and players;
I will respect the decisions of the umpires;
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.
