Highlands Little League Baseball in North Vancouver

Highlands was established as an official Little League Chapter in 1959. Little League Baseball is globally recognized as the gold standard in youth baseball development. We offer league play and post-season high-performance opportunities for 4-16 year-olds. The association plays at Delbrook, Chris Zeuhlke Memorial and Sowden parks in North Vancouver. Teams play in the spring, summer and fall.

Highlands athletes build confidence, strengthen friendships and belong to a growing community of families that value sport and the benefits it brings.

Presidents Message For the 2026 Season

2025 was a strong year for Highlands Little League, marked by growth, energy, and continued investment in our community.

Registration increased by approximately 20 percent to more than 430 players, resulting in additional teams across several divisions and strong demand league-wide. This growth reflects both the strength of our programming and the continued appeal of Highlands as a community-based Little League organization. We anticipate similar growth for our 2026 season with total registration nearing 500. Combined with our three other leagues that comprise District 5 Little League, we have close to 2,000 players. The result is a thriving baseball community on the North Shore, with plenty of opportunity to play with other leagues close to home.

Player development was a main focus this year. Spring Break camps, In-Season development programs, Fall Ball, and Winter training all saw high participation, with several divisions reaching capacity. Post-season results were encouraging, particularly among younger age groups, reinforcing a positive long-term trajectory for our program.

Highlands also strengthened the overall game-day experience. Our May Ballpark Bash drew a great turnout, and re-iterated our commitment to a wider community experience for players and their families.

The Ballpark Bash featured our first ever Longest Hitter Derby, which was an absolute blast!

We again hosted our post-season Summer Series tournament for 7s and 11s that brought energy to Delbrook, and the launch of the new Highlands Little League concession added a true ballpark feel. The concession quickly became a hub for families and visiting teams and has already established itself as a valued part of the Delbrook Experience.

Inclusive programming continued to grow, providing meaningful opportunities for players of all abilities to participate in baseball in a supportive and welcoming environment.

We had a very fun season with our first ever all-female AA team. Continuing to build on the popularity of womens baseball, we hope to grow all girls opportunities both within Highlands and with our friends at D5 Lionessess and BC Girls Baseball in 2026.

Looking ahead, Highlands is focused on building responsibly while maintaining what makes the league special. Our priorities include: continued investment in player development, equipment and facility improvements, and increased collaboration with neighbouring leagues, especially at more senior divisions.

Thank you to the players, families, coaches, volunteers, and community partners who made the 2025 season such a success. We’re excited to build on this momentum and look forward to an even better 2026.

See you at the field,

Patrick Haney, Highlands Little League President
