Highlands Little League Baseball in North Vancouver

Highlands was established as an official Little League Chapter in 1959. Little League Baseball is globally recognized as the gold standard in youth baseball development. We offer league play and post-season high-performance opportunities for 4-16 year-olds. The association plays at Delbrook, Chris Zeuhlke Memorial and Sowden parks in North Vancouver. Teams play in the spring, summer and fall.

Highlands athletes build confidence, strengthen friendships and belong to a growing community of families that value sport and the benefits it brings.

Presidents Message For the 2025 Season

To our Highlands community:

As we prepare for the much-anticipated spring 2025 season, it feels like a good time for an open review of last year’s season.

Our goals included: increasing registration; growing our program offerings; and reinforcing our rich tradition as a community-
focused, youth baseball organization.

We were successful in all areas. Through marketing and recruitment, registration increased approximately 20%, with more teams on the field and waitlists in many divisions.

Our development team spearheaded programs for players seeking increased commitment to training and skills development, further supported by professional coaching. This was a popular endeavour, as evidenced in summer and Fall Ball – with most levels at capacity.

Our 65th anniversary party in May was a blast. The weather was perfect and kids were still lined up for games when it was time to take them down. The excitement of thebaseball games on Delbrook’s D1 field offered a fun winddown that went straight into
evening.

Launching our brand-new Highlands Little League concession at Delbrook was another highlight. Our dedicated concession team put together a fantastic offering that proved very popular for our community, along with visiting leagues. The"Delbrook Dog" is on track to become a ballpark legend.

Among the various post-season tournaments, we were proud hosts of the 11 SelectSummer Series in July. We also hosted our first movie night on Delbrook field and expanded the popular Highlands Homers program, with youth volunteers providing
music, scorekeeping and announcing batters at games.

It was also a stellar year for our North Shore Challenger Division, which invites players of all ages with physical or cognitive disabilities, and connects players, families and volunteers across the North Shore.

As we head into next season, we’re excited to build on this incredible momentum. We’re committed to building a fun and welcoming environment and to offering the best youth baseball experience through Little League. Expect more baseball, more concession
offerings, more inter-league cooperation, and more fun. As always, we hope you’ll share your feedback and experiences with us. It’s how we’ll keep growing this wonderful
community.

See you at the field,
