Post Season Try-Outs
Highlands Little League 2017 Post Season Teams
Highlands Little League Baseball (“HLL”) will be holding open evaluations/tryouts for is Select 9’s, 9/10 All-Stars, Select 11’s and 11/12 All-Stars on the following dates:
- Select 9’s – Delbrook Park on June 1, 2017, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm (simultaneously with the 9/10 All-Stars). Registration at 4:30.
- 9/10 All-Stars – Delbrook Park on June 1, 2017, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm (simultaneously with the Select 9’s). Registration at 4:30.
- Select 11’s – Delbrook Park on June 1, 2017, between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm (simultaneously with the 11/12 All-Stars). Registration at 6:30.
- 11/12 All-Stars – Delbrook Park on June 1, 2017, between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm (simultaneously with the Select 11’s). Registration at 6:30.
To manage expectations, each of the All-Star and Select teams will have a roster of 12 players.
As you consider whether your player has an opportunity to be selected to one of these teams, please be aware, that there is an expectation that baseball becomes their sports focus for at least the period June 4 until they have finished tournament play.
Starting June 5, 2017, the teams expect to be practicing four (4) to six (6) times a week, depending upon the weather, the field availability and how the team is progressing.
Based upon instances in 2016, we will be asking parents and players to sign a commitment letter that confirms that the player will attend 100% of the games and 100% of the practices (with the understanding that there may be a very few isolated instances where arriving late for/leaving early from a practice becomes unavoidable). If you have plans between the period June 9 and July 23 that will make your player unable to attend practices/games, please inform us at check in, so that the coaches can take this into consideration when selecting the team (11/12 All-Stars commitment will be into August).

Dependent upon how the evaluation/try-out progresses, there may be an additional sessions prior to the teams being announced.
HLL will announce teams before June 5, 2017.
